Question - is there any difference between any of the 2.5L turbo oil pans? I've got an 06 LGT and bought a Moroso pickup, and it sure just doesn't fit (it's too long and the pan will not line up with the cases). It's listed for all Subaru 2.5 turbo cars.

Anyone have a spare oil pan around I could test fit with? I'm wondering if I have to replace the oil pan (pretty cheap) or if I have to go buy the KillerB pickup ($$$) :eek:hnoes:

I'm in Roswell/Woodstock and I need to get this motor back together.

From what I'm seeing, they're the same pan.

    Welcome to the community, btw!

Yeah, been somewhat lurking for a while. Been in a Subaru forever... my Dad's first was in the late 60's and I grew up in an 83 DL.

Anywho, I couldn't track down part numbers quickly between the various models and years' oil pans.

Well, this is very strange. The Moroso unit has a huge square pickup and screen at the bottom, and it's just a little bit too long or too big around to fit in the very bottom of the oil pan where the stocker (round) used to be. Ugggh. This is going to screw up my weekend. And I just can't see how the killerB pickup is $186 ! whatFever

I am pretty sure the Moroso pick up can only be used with the Moroso pan. I compared my old LGT pan with a STi pan and it was identical.

integroid... you are correct. Most of the websites I had looked at, when price-shopping, did not include the statement that the Moroso pickup is to be used in one of their own pans only! Information that would have been nice to have. The $90 pickup that requires a $350-650 pan to fit.

    So... KillerB it is

KillerB is the better choice, never really been impressed with the remoroso pans

I was really impressed with the pickup, it was really beefy both in the brace/tube, and the pickup itself was massive... large surface area and a big reservoir area to scavenge.

But, not spending $350 on the pan to fit it, even though it looks great too.

The killerB pickup is on order... but I doubt it will deliver by saturday, that's basically all I need for the longblock now
