It's that time of the year people...... Petit Le Mans :beer: It runs from Wed. October 1st to Sat. October 4th. Here's a LINK to a discount ticket offered through the Porsche guys. Last day to order "Advance" tickets is Friday 9/26. Infield car passes are $40.
wouldnt miss it....my bro and I have a pretty big setup there so I'll keep ya'll posted if you want to stop by
the sautee guys will be there, (myself, gtaccord and a couple others) were gonna try to get an infield pass and bring some food/drinks/chairs as well. maybe we should all try to be in the same area?
I've done infield pass for years. Last year, there were so many cars on the infield that parking became a big issue. It used to be that we drove corner to corner every hour or so, parked, opened the trunk and parked our chairs. If this year is like last year, it would be good to show early and grab one good spot we could camp on.
we are very near the skidpad, a bit further down the straight though. last year we had a couple kegs, 5 EZ ups, plasma tv during the day and projector at night, satellite tv (college football:naughty we had a lil forza2 showdown late night with the wheel and projector. Im at work now but when I get home I'll make a map and show exactly where we have been the last few years.
hmmm...are you friend with David Kid, with the 600rr? he was there with his bike and he stopped by, he was riding in a blue sti also...was that you driving?
Don't know that guy. My bro-in-law is in DC with a black '04 STi. He flies in every year for the Petit LM. I'm 6'5" and he's like 6'3", he seems to know a bunch of you all.
easier to borrow a 4-wheeler from someone? bought my tickets last night. debating on buying an infield parking pass, but if you guys get a golf cart you can just come pick myself and the booze up
Golf cart is $75/day for 2-seater, $85/day for 4-seater, with a 3-day minimum. It would be huge to have a cart since infield parking now is a b1tch.
You can park outside of the track and we can come get you anyways. problem with the 4-wheeler is: 1) getting it there 2) paying for the pass for it 3) don't know anyone that would let us borrow one Otherwise, I'd be more than glad to have someone lend me one.
ok, I'm working on bringing the smoker up friday and smoking some pork shoulders and ribs for eating on saturday. mmm BBQ I'll probably smoke 6 shoulders, about 40 lbs worth. I'm not asking for any money but if people want to make donations it would be helpful. there may be a keg involved also. I'll plan on setting up at liquidforce's if he doesn't mind.
It is nothing but concrete. We're on the skidpad on the inside of the track, no grass/dirt around us.
Will I be able to drive in Saturday morning ~9am and get a parking spot? We're hoping to bring a portable grill/beer/etc. and probably meet up with you folks after lunch. Think it'll work or do we need to get there earlier?
depends if you park off site or if you want to park infield. if trying to get inside, I'd shoot for earlier. it gets really hectic
