Emmm there are a few more reviews by that same magazine racing WRX's against other cars and those times are consistantly up in the 15's! I posted the fastest one..........the horror!:wtc::eek3:
Most of the articles I've read have the 5spd WRX passing the quarter around 14.1s, which is pretty respectable. That car is a 4eat, which I'm sure adds to the time because of undoubtedly longer gearing. Plus let's not forget that the JDM car (the one in the film you posted) is a 2.0 liter, and thus the powerband is a lot smaller I would guess. Longer gears mean the shifts will drop you out of the powerband. Just my take on things.
