Also - season passes available, basically 2 events free. Do it!
Question - which of atlantascca.com and soloatlanta.com is the right website? It looks like they've both been recently uploaded :eek3: nice change of pace
Use atlantascca.com for up to date information. We're going to be turning SOLOAtlanta into something else later this year, so you can keep track of both sites, but in the end, atlantascca.com is going to be the primary location.
Hot damn. 60 so far. Hoping for a big turnout for our first event. We've got a lot of room, so get the boost buggies out there! This is one of the best sites for the WRX and the STi. Big courses mean you can use all the gearing, especially in the STis. Should be a super event with good weather...even if it's a bit on the cool side, perfect for some extra HP on the FI cars.
AMS is always a fun event. There's lots of room for fast elements to throw your car around; see how it transition in a fast controlled environment. I'm getting all excited now
Bring a SA2005 helmet if you have one so you can do ride-a-longs. You can still do rides if you don't have your own helmet, you'll just have to use a SCCA loaner. We have a worker handing them out as cars approach the timing trailer.
I got my STi just in time for P2. Taking it easy because of new car and low mileage, it put down some good time. 1st in class (B Stock) and 31st overall (out of 92 starters), not to shabby 2013 Results Glad to see some auto-x enthusiast here
P2 was my first autocross ever. My last, fastest time was the same as your first slowest time. LOL I'm not sure how many events I'll make in Atlanta, but I had a great time last weekend. Nice work Millhouse.
Thanks Chris. HMU if you want a ride along. I let people in for the first 2-3 runs. I am assuming that you where in novice class, which one where you? It was cool to see so many Subaru's there (more than I have seen).
So you diggin' the new car? Sunday was a blast. It feels good to take down every car out there (little pat on my back) It goes to show, with just even a cold track, our cars can step it up to the top. Add some fat sways and 245 tires and it's on! The Evo looked good on Sunday. When that turbo spooled up it was a rocket. You'll look at cones on the street in a whole new light. Down cone! Wait, is that cone the pointer cone? I'm going around it. There was a good turn out on Sunday. I hope you guys get the bug and keep coming out. The more seat time you get, the faster times will be.
The new car is definitely a blast:naughty: I have had the auto-x bug for a long time now. If you were at P1 you might have heard about the hit and run hnoes: involving a Blue genesis coupe (that was me). Details Here
Yeah, read that. Sucks, BUT now you're in the better car :naughty: So, you have a face with the name, I'm the Tech Chief at the events for Session A. I'm the one that gave you shit for not seeing that car before and you wanting the annual pass :wavey:
Nice I think I know which car your in now. I was out on corner #3, looked good from where I was. STX: Mods?
The silver 05 WRX #22. My theory is a simple and cheap one. Ain't broke, don't fix it. I only replace broken parts with new "race" parts So, I'm still on stock suspension, with camber bolts. But I do run a 24mm Front and 27mm rear sway with endlinks. All Whiteline. Also, I have their steering bushings installed. Oh, and 245/40 17" RPF-1s. With the heavy SBs the car really rotates well, you just need to be on top of it. make it rotate, before it decides to go around by itself. it works really well for me.
I bought the car new, also. So far, only the clutch is the weakest link for me. On my 3rd or 4th one. I lost count. I did teach my wife how to drop the clutch at the start, that took up about half the life in the last clutch.
