2nd WRXatlanta.com Scavenger Hunt: Saturday, January 19th, 2008

The WRXatlanta administrative team presents the Second WRXatlanta.com Scavenger Hunt. The last Scavenger Hunt was a huge success and due to popular demand, we have decided to bring it back.

Scavenger Hunt Details:

Teams of up to 4 can participate. Each team is given a large list of items that they either need to photograph or collect. Pictures from the internet do not count. All pictures must be with the real deal. Each item has a point value associated with it. The event runs between fixed times and the team that has the most points by closing wins.

Logistics

• Date: Saturday, January 19, 2008
• TopSpeed will be the hub. This is the place where everyone meets at the beginning and end of the event.
• Food will be provided for participants at the end of the event.
• Prizes will be provided for the winning teams.

Rules:

• All submissions become the sole property of WRXatlanta.com. WRXatlanta can choose to utilize submissions at will and no compensation will be provided to the submitter.
• Please bring a digital camera and hardware/software required to download your images to a laptop (Don't need to bring a laptop).
• Everyone meets at TopSpeed at 9am for pre-event discussions.
• Cars take off from TopSpeed around 10am after all pre-event formalities have been completed.
• The hunt will take place for 4 hours. Cars are to return to TopSpeed by the declared closing time.
  • Participants will be disqualified if they do not return to TopSpeed by end time. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
• Driver’s licenses for all team members, insurance & registration will be placed in the team's car in a sealed envelope. If this envelope is opened, the team will be disqualified.
• Obey all laws.
• Entry Fee: $20 per team.
  • A team can consist of 2 to 4 members but is limited to one car. At least one team member must be a member of WRXatlanta.com.

Are we opening this event up to Evoatlanta, S2K, GA3S, etc... I think we should this time.

 

I would like to see the type of response we receive here before we open it up to others.

 

How am I going to show the cops my license if you make me put it in an envelope?

 

If you get pulled over and have to open the envelop to show the officer your license, you team is disqualified, or at least docked points. The point of this event is to have fun in a safe and legal manner. By sealing your license in the envelop, we hope to encourage you to obey speed limits and all traffic laws, thereby not giving an officer any reason to pull you over, and since we are not there with you, the envelop being opened is our evidence that you did not obey the rules.
