Where is the ideal place to get a tranny temp reading from? I called IPT and asked them, and they said in the cooler return line. Could someone explain the reason for this? If the cooler return line is the line from the cooler back to the tranny, how is that reading useful? Wouldn't it be more useful to have a reading of fluid temp leaving the tranny? <---confoosed
isn't it useful just for the relative reading, i.e. if you're tracking the car and your temp goes up from 150(if that's normal) to 210, might need to take a break. But if i get an absolute reading of 200 i wouldn't know how to make sense of that.
