With this car we have a complete built long block from Cobb ready to go in, so we decided to push the stock block that is still in the car as far as we could. To much suprise the car kept on making power, up until we reached 33psi. At 33psi the car wouldn't make anymore power, we were locked at 590hp and couldn't go any further. At this point it seems the heads are holding us back, and I am very interested in seeing how much power the new setup is going to make. Now I have a bunch of videos to post from the runs, but the will not be posted till later tonight. When we get back from the track, yes we are going to trailer this car to the track like it sits and run it. If it blows up so be it... lol... Stay tuned.. Doug
Milo made me look pretty bad! Not really though. My times sucked because it was my first time ever drag racing. It seems like Milo got a 13.1 or maybe a 13.5. My best was a 14.8 :wtc: but it was actually a lot of fun so, that's what was important to me. Now I want a bigger turbo.
On the nasioc thread about this same car someone posted that they got kicked out with an 11.4...and a 1.7 sixty!!!! Great job...surprised it held
in the nasioc thread, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=983345 they said that they were having detonation issues in 4th and 5th, and they also said that they were gonna run the first few runs just for the 1/8th, which they trapped at 101.49 which is nuts.
i got an 13.4 with a 1.79 60 foot... did miss third for a fraction of a second... but it was a rush nice numbers doug... and it was nice to meet u again in the staging lanes
http://media.putfile.com/TopSpeed---Stock-Block-Record---Subaru-STi It wasn't detonation. . Last night at the track we were having some spark issues during the long 4th -5th gear pulls, as the high boost was blowing out the spark. Again had we had a chance to gap down the plugs and make another run the mph would have improved as would the et.
ha ha the video ownage.. ha ha ha was that a s 2000 he was draging with? btw nice video and nice car, u sure make it worth while.. great job congrats
