quick question, yesterday I went to turn on my a/c and the belt started making a sound, so I leave it on and pop the hood and take a look, tha compressor was stuck and it wasnt moving @ all, yall think I need a new one or is there a way to get it unstuck?

  2. Did you try to turn it by hand.?without the engine running. You may have a locked up compressor.Prob will need a ac compressor,clutch,receiver/drier and an evacuate and recharge with freon..$$$$

mine did that, turns out either the previous owner or the body shop had over tightened the pulley on that side and eventually burned up the clutch in the a/c compressor and alos snapped the bottom tension bolt on the tensioner pulley. and to top it off one of my lines randomly starting spewing freon. so, i decided it was time to yank it out. that's right no a/c in GA. an before you flame, i've done it before in a BLACK '92 mustang gt with vinyl seats, so trust me, I can handle it.

I think I might have done that, how much is the clutch for it?
