I have a leak on the high pressure AC line but I just wanted to know if I need to be careful when i take it apart and replace it..(as it says 'high pressure' it got me thinking that it wont hurt to ask what to watch out for before i started replacing it). my car is blowing AC but not cold and its gonna get hot real soon!!! it wont explode on me or anything like that when i take the hose off right? thanks guys.

You will probably be ok since its leakig. If anything comes out, dont breath it in or get it in your face cause its freon and if there is some in there that hasnt leaked out yet, it will come out witv a lot of force.

However, it is illegal to release freon into the atmosphere

no release it, I want 65 degrees back with no rain. I got a lot of work to do on my car.

You'll need to pull a vacuum down on the AC to properly charge it. I usually buy a couple of cans of R134 and give a buddy at a shop 20 bucks to do the work.
