I felt like my stock BPV wasn't holding my 18.5psi up top, so I bought WORX v1.2 bov. As you know I recently got new tires after blown one, and I never got to push my car till yesterday. And here if what I experienced...

My peak boost held steady around 18psi till around 5.5-6k rpm. My EGT gradually rose upto around 1550F. All of sudden as soon as i passed 6k rpm, I picked up another pound of boost, and EGT shoot up way beyond 1600F real fast. I think I almost saw 1650F (I quickly backed off after that):eek:hnoes:

This is how I think. If my WORX bov is leaking, doesn't my car suppose to run rich??? If it does run rich, I should get lower EGT. OR is it the other way?? My BPV was indeed leaking before, now with WORX bov, the boost hold up top with no leak. That's why it running leaner than before. Honestly, I don't remember How my car ran initially since i get to drive for like a day till i blow up my tire. But i doubt my EGT went beyond 1600F.

I have to call TopSpeed to see wat's up. I also remember Doug tuned my car with front O2 sensor since his tailpipe AFR meter wasn't working right due to my HFC. I guess my trip to Hilton Head, SC would be little boring since I don't get to really push my car AGAIN. This sux.:wtc:

i put a greddy type RS on my car and it runs and feels so much smoother than what i had....of course im doing full recirc and this bov is made for higher boost. I can see what you are saying however.

Doug used front o2 sensor as reference, not as main source. He's not a novice tuner.

my WORX is at 75% recirculation and 2nd stiffest spring setting. Vents fine at WOT and partial throttle as well but with very slight surge sometimes.

FYI, you don't need an AP to log anything. In fact, the AP isn't even part of it; you need a cable for serial<->OBDII. The AP cable happens to be one, but you can get a cable like that alone for I think $50-ish and it'll work with the TARI logger. Small price to pay for data logging capabilities!

I might look into that. I read like you don't have to have expensive version of obd2 cable to datalog. It's needed for reflash tho.
