well if the light is on its been turned off by the ecu and wont activate in an acedent. not sure if theres a clear for the code with out fixing the problem which most of the time is a short. my solution would be to locate the driver and pass side air bag harnesses and disconect and bush off and reconect tightly. look for loose wires and such at the same time. those are the 2 air bags that get the most vibration in my book.

I got the light by disconnecting the airbag wire under the seat when I replaced the stock seat. Its difficult for it to come lose, but its possible.

I need to check mine, it's coming on and off. Which would make perfect sense, considering it sits right there underneath the seat.

Mine has been flashing, maybe it's because brian hasen't put the proper resistor in airbag line, cough cough....

I would venture a guess to say if you unplugged it, the light would stay ON...maybe?ß

Yeah just recheck the airbag connection and reset the ecu. If the cel code comes back then i would go to the dealer.
