I am going to be installing some parts on my wagon for the next AutoX season, and I would like to know about what kind of numbers I should expect to get, that way when I go into the shop I'll know something to ask for something reasonable.

My final setup - for the alignment - will probably be

    PDE plates
Koni inserts (in my stock wagon strut housings)
    STi "pink" springs (minimal lowering)
    04 STi Aluminum control arms

I am thinking about leaving the rear with stock alignment which was -1.5 camber each side, maybe upgrading topmounts, but that is a low priority for me.

If you have the type of control arms that I do - the caster adding kind and camber plates, what kind of numbers are you getting (camber & caster)?

    Lets see some numbers!

Even if you have extra mods like ALK, I'd like to see what's possible!

Just so you know, I'm looking to improve upon my stock alignment:

    Front
    camber -1.1, -1.1
    caster 3.5, 3

    Rear
    camber -1.5, -1.6

I'm going to bring this back to life real quick like.

I have my 05 WRX in for alignment/tires right now. what's a good base line for all stock (except sways front and back) suspension? more interested in auto-x numbers, BUT it is a daily. BUt my commute is only 20miles a day total. and i'm not too worried about tire wear.
    Looking for numbers.

    Thanks folks.

Stock? Maybe -1.5 in the front if you can squeeze it and -1 in the rear.

i think since you mentioned your car is a daily, you may not want any toe. From reading around and friends talking, toe is actually what is most aggressive to causing tire wear in comparision to camber angles.

My car is running some odd camber up front -3 and -1.5 rear but I went with 0 toe figuring if i had a little toe my tires would hate me even more. But once I get my new tires in, I'm adjusting to -1.8f -1 ro-1.5 rear, and i think I'll stick with 0 toe.

crap mis-read, guess tire wear is a non issue :p

Here is what you want with a stock alignment:

The MAX negative camber that you can possibly get up front and still be even side to side. (I'd be surprised if you can get much over -1.5.)
    Rear is not adjustable.
    Zero toe front and back.

I have used toe out up front, but its really not a good idea for the street, IMO.

BTW, what tires are you getting?

it's a done deal. i left the sheet with the numbers at home, i'll post that in a few.

i got tried of everyone at the auto-x telling me i needed better tires. JK...
so, i bought some RE11's. figured they'll be "shaved down" by the time next season starts. i'll DD them, and finish the season on the Falken Azenis i have now.

I need to do a vender review on Quantum Mechanics in Decatur. kickass guys that are nerds and love cars. kind of like most of us on the forum. they're my new shop for sure. that's who did the alignment and mounting/balancing. they let me ship from TireRack straight to their shop.
