I just installed Prodrive springs and have a few questions. I know I need an alignment.. do I need a 'Performance alignment' , or a regular ole alignment? This is just a daily driver, I don't auto-x or anything.. I bought the springs more for looks than anything else. Can I take my car to a regular shop like good year, or should I drop the coin on a performance alignment at a shop that know's what there doing with our cars(GTE, SOG)? It seems to me this a fairly simple thing to do and any ole shop could do it. Second, how long should I drive it to make sure there settled? I've allready put around 50 miles... thoughts?

Drive it around for about a week, then go get an alignment.

I would really recommend you spend the $$ and get a "performance" alignment.
It'll really help you enjoy your new springs much better.

You should be fine taking it to somewhere like kauffman. Don't tell them you have new springs just see if they can get it up on their normal rack. It will cost more on the "performance" rack and it just costs more becuase its lower and possible to get low cars on it. You don't have any extra suspension adjustments so theres really no reason to pay more...

I put springs on mine and never got it aligned. Its doing just fine and doesn't wear tires unevenly since the springs didn't drop it too much. Its probly a good idea to get the alignment but they may not have to change anything...

+1 on the perf align. it will handle better if you're gonna auto-x or track, and it'll give your tread more life too (although i think just geting the toe zeroed out will help a lot with that).

Step One: Chart a journey to see the siegel
Step Two: Inquire about a "performance alignment"
Step Three: Dine-in at Chipotle with the siegel
Step Four: Return to SOG for your performance alignment
Step Five: Smile happily as you drive your car home

I'm leaning towards the perfomance alignment, its not too much more and I can get it exactly the way I want... it is agreed though that I should wait a week or so so the springs have chance to settle?

Your alignment won't be very adjustable as you've just installed springs.
The stock Suby alignment is normally crap though, so you'll see an improvement regardless,
it just won't be very adjustable

I agree about Suby alignment... mine was off from the factory(pulling left)... Don't really need adjustability, just has to be straight and good to my tires...

If you are going to get a performance alignment, get camber bolts or something for the rear. A performance alignment with just the fronts being adjustable is kind of a waste as the car will still understeer all to hell.
