I have been reading through some posts and just wanted to run some numbers by yall. Gonna shoot for the following: Front R L camber =-1.0 / -1.0 Toe = 0 / 0 Rear R L camber = -1.5 / -1.5 toe = 0 / 0 This is on a 05 STI. Any feedback or do these normals seem standard for stock STI.
Good Luck, jeff at GTE just barely squeezed out -1 camber in the front in my car. Oh if you want the car balanced for your weight you should request that you sit in it while the car is being aligned.
Well from what I heard the negative in the back is pretty hard to adjust on the stock STI. Your pretty much limited to what is set from the factory. Meredith - Do you recall your final specs from your alignment?
idk about how hard it is to adjust the rear on the sti's but i know im not a fan of terminal understeer.
Keith, I would suggest you run about -1.8 up front and max out the rear. This will be just fine on your tire wear, and it will improve your handling 10 fold.
I just got my car aligned yesterday, so I have been doing the same searching as you. The best I have found is a write up on Clubwrx.net by bigsky. This is a really good article. If you scroll down you can see the OE suspension setup of all wrx's and the sti. I ended up with -1.3 up front and -.7 in the rear (camber bolts on all corners). http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89767
I went lower on the rear because my car understeered like crazy on the autox course. I just maxed out the camber bolts. Not everyone can seem to get the same amount of negative camber out of the fronts.
