How's the new DP Alex, and UP/DP John?

    How'd the install go?

I'm also wondering if I should insert some joke about me being tall and having long arms and not needing the superman pose to reach whatever Alex is grabbing . . .

I had a little bit of trouble and I still need a gasket (between midpipe and catback). As for the UP install, there was considerable trouble. But at the end of the day, all was done, everyone finished, and it was a major success :bigthumb:

After I thought I had every thing ready to pull out I found that one of the bolts that goes from the header to the UP was cross threaded from the factory. We had to take the headers off just to get to the bolt good enough to turn it. As a result of all the pressuse we put on the bolt it broke. once we got the new bolts(thanks chris) We slowely got it all put back together. All in all it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Also thank u to weapon wrx for showing me what to take off and what to put back together. I was only able to put the up on, the dp will be shiped this week. As for gains u can tell a big diff. it pulls alot harder. My 60mph-80mph time droped a full sec.

Again thanks to every one that helped

I really appreciate being part of this day as I learned quite a bit about the Subes (all new to me, coming from domestic vehicles). The downpipe install really doesn't seem bad at all, assuming the bolts/nuts come loose easily; I figure I'll pull the intercooler and heat shield, then spray PB Blaster on all the bolts/nuts and let it sit overnight. Amazing how tight some of those things are; the hanger on Alex's car was a royal bitch...

    That it was sir.

I have more parts to install for whenever we decide to have the next install day.

Once I get done with some garage work anyone's welcome to come use it and my tools.. probably be a bit before I get to it though; taken me a month to put some cabinets up and paint a wall. Adding some 20A circuits and a 240V run for a welder/compressor when I get a chance.
