All right, time to explain to me the H6 rear brake upgrade.

Because I get the feeling everyone else understands this except for me, and I can't seem to find the information I want.

Here are my questions, for all you people who know what you're talking about:

-What all do you need besides the rotors to make them work?

-What size brake pad would you have to use? Would you need different fluid lines?

-Anything else you can think of??

    thanks.

For the H6 upgrade you need rotors and brackets. That's it. It is a larger rotor. It uses your stock caliper and brakepad (well the 02-03 rear brakepad anyways).

The benefits of this upgrade is a little bit better stopping and better cooling for the rotor because there is more mass to absorb heat.

Install is very simple and straight forward. Remove rotor, replace rotor, replace bracket, bolt everything up.

BTW I have STI Ra brakes for sale. It's much better braking than the H6 because there's a bigger pad and it's a vented rotor so it has even better cooling than the H6. /threadjack off

Nope the Kartboy bracket wont fit with the H6. The rotors are different. The 2pot rotors are thicker because they're vented.

Wow. I guess that's simpler than I thought.

But do I use the 03 breakpads on the 05 though? Maybe because the upgrade is from an 02-03?

I believe you have to use the 02-03 pads because thats what the bracket fits.

We've got a vendor's review section if you'd like to share your experience there.

My understanding with the H6 upgrade is that it keeps the whole car a lot more level under braking by adding more rear brake bias. At least on stock springs I feel like the car's front end dives too much under braking so it's a mod I'd like to do down the road (after springs though).

  11. I think you are confusing other people with a totally different subject. The bracket you are talkin about is for the shifter and we're talkin about brake upgrade bracket. Please PM me when you are having problems with the part that you ordered from us instead of telling me whenever you feel like so we can at least try to help you solve the problem.

Also, please explain what "custom" work you did to make it fit since that bracket was a part straight from Kartboy and I haven't had any problems with it. Please PM me if you have any further problems. Thanks
