Just thought I would give a review of this combo. I recently put it in the car after my Memphis amp and sub bit the dust. The amp is a very sharp looking Kenwood 1000 watt max 500 watt RMS@ 2 ohms mono amp. I have it hooked up to the Alpine Type R dual voice coil sub designed for 600 watt RMS and 1200 peak. This thing sounds wonderful!

The only complaint I had was the amp seems to be a bit touchy about the input. When I had the head unit on the factory default setting (high power sub output) it would cut off after a little loud music. Thankfully the head unit had the option of doing a low power output. This seems to have cured the issue.

I think most people would be very surprised that there is only a single 10" sub in the car. It definitely hits harder than most 2 sub set ups I have hear.
