I've seen some Prodrive Pff7's on some wagons, and I can't imagine they would rub. Those rims have specs: 18*8 5*100 offset +51 However I have my sites on some other rims with specs: 18*8 5*100 offset +48 And according the the site they are sedan only. Is the difference in offset the key factor here? Cause I know very little of what tire numbers, offset, etc means. I wish they would downsize some designs, I would much rather have 17's.
i'm not quite sure on the waguns, but +51 is close to the stock offset of 54. If you increase the width an inch or so over stock without changing offset i'd imagine you'd rub on the spring perch, a 45 or 48 should work.
Well I was going to post that maybe you had just seen the 17" rota knockoffs. But then I saw this sweet ass picture of the pff7's on a saabaru. So I don't know. I've always heard the 18s were pushing it on a wagon, but maybe with a creative offset they'd work. Edit: And I pretty much missed the complete point of your post. I think it would take some fender work. But I definitely could be wrong.
lets just say this. would you take the risk with the +48 offset wheels, or just settle for something 17" that I know will work?
the overall diameter and offset have less to do with each other as compared to the width and offset. i'd do the 18
actually i just realized you have a wagon, they most likely will not work. i am running 18-7.5 with a +48 offset with barely 4 mills to spare. and i am low
Alright, if I do decide to go 18's it will be the Prodrives as I've seen them work in several wagons. I was wanting to grab some Rota formula's, get the s203 look going on. I don't think I'll take the risk
