A few incidents have occurred so I feel an announcement is in order. The 'Private For Sale' classifieds are intended for members to sell extra parts they may have lying around. The 'Vendor For Sale' classifieds are intended for vendors who sell parts as a business, with the end goal being profit. In the past, some of our members have attempted to sell products they can either source or manufacture regularly in order to make a profit. When this happens, they have moved beyond a private sale and are entering into vendor territory. We can not allow this to happen for multiple reasons: WRXatlanta's primary source of income is vendorship and advertising. Anyone making a profit on this site has to be willing to give back financially to the community. We have to protect paying vendors from others who attempt to compete with their products without being official vendors. Our vendorship contract clearly states that we will enforce this rule. WRXatlanta is not a money making scheme. Those of you who know us well know that neither Alex nor I ever see a single dime enter our pockets. All the money that comes into the site goes back to the community in the form of food, merchandise and events. In the past, some members unknowingly violated this rule and advertised products they could either source or manufacture. After we contacted them about their violation, most members have been very cooperative. Some have become vendors. Others decided not to provide their product/service. Either way is fine. However, repeated violations will not be tolerated. All the rules we have are made for a reason and will be enforced strictly. The Administrators and Moderators work very hard to enforce these rules. If you are contacted by one of us about any possible violation, please cooperate and follow our direction. Making smart comments about our policies will get you nowhere. It is unethical to make a profit off WRXatlanta when others are paying for the same previliges. Milo
