So I did get a new set of wheels (some Rota SVNs) that are 18x8.5. I also have RCE Yellows on my 2005 STi right now. Tires are 245/40/r18s Am I gonna have issues with fitment? I may have already asked this question, but my laziness along with the willingness of folks to reply compels me to ask again This is of course before I go through the trouble of getting these bad boys powder coated flat black... Holla.
You shoud be good. My old setup was 17X9 +35 with a 245/40/17 on a 03 WRX with no scrubbing. I hope this helps....
just depends on ride height and alignment. I'm running the same size and get a little rub on the the inner fender at full lock.
The tires are Bridgestone RE01Rs (245/40/r18) Actually I bought the wheels for the tires (which are used but almost new)... spent $1k for all of it, shipped down here...
I run that size and offset but on rota dpt's. Had the setup on both the stock struts and the coilovers I run now. On the struts I had a slight rub at full lock on the inside of the liner but wasn't anything major, and I only had it happen in tight parking situations. No fender work at all on my car.
Sweet... now I just gotta get my fat/lazy ass moving to get em down to GTE, and unmounted so they can go to the powdercoater...
Also... thoughts on the color? I was thinking flat black... but I am also IN LOVE with White... and thought it'd look PIMP on my silver STi... thoughts?
