A helpful thread for those that search.

Usually when the emergency brake light is on it's because of low fluid and/or worn pads. What if those are both fine? Could be the parking brake sensor... but probably not. Well, check your floater. Remove the screen under the cap and look down into the fluid. You'll see the floater down there. It looks like a cotton ball... Poke at it with something really clean and it should float back to the top. I just swapped in a WRX MC and the floater had gotten hung in the downward position. No idea if this will ever be needed, but I thought I'd post about it. Later!!!

what's the purpose of swapping in the wrx MC? Does it give you better proportioning??

Foresters have 1" master cylinders and WRX's and STi's have 1 1/16". The larger volume gives a firmer feel and less leverage. Bad for towing trailers, good for heel-toeing. Foresters have super mushy yet strong brakes...

I was a tad puzzled the first time my brake light came on when I hit boost. I did a search on Nasioc and found this out.

Also, apparently your daytime running lights are deactivated anytime your e-brake light is on. :dunno:
