im new to the site. you can check out my info on the "introduce your self thread." anyway i was wondering if there were any annual meets here......like the first week of every month we meet up in a central localtion, check out all the new mods to the subys then go out and eat or movie or whatever (open to sugestions!! plz!!!!) let me know what everyone thinks and if it sounds good, lets make it happen. thanks, Dane
I think Milo is wanting to make the Andretti thing a regular sort of meet. We met up there last wednesday and raced go-karts. We're all signed up on the Andretti email list to get "Buy One Get One Free" coupons so we can race twice. Thursday nights up at Northpoint mall are kinda regular too. Its the ImportAtlanta meeting spot so there is a wide variety of cars.
Optimally, I'd like to see something like First week of the month is a meeting Sunday morning at a coffee house and then lunch. Second week of the month is a meeting at Andretti. Third week of the month would be Northpoint and fourth week could be open to suggestions. I think that would be an efficient schedule for at least four weeks a month. Of course, we can add different things in in addition, anything from a movie release we all want to see or just hitting up northpoint on a weekly basis. those are just some of my thoughts, nothing's concrete.
where and when does everyone meet up at northpoint? it real close to me, so it wont be a problem for me to show up. just let me know what time and where. thanks sounds like u have the planning skills of the group Alex so (if u dont mind) ill leave the schedual up to you. im still open to lots of other suggestions please keep them coming!
Heh, well I did co-found the club afterall. Fez is inactive now, so its more like Milo and I run the show now...
:werd: we're trying to make andretti a once a month thing... after signing up on the email club, it works out to 2 races for 20 bucks which isn't too bad... we did hit up northpoint a couple of times... but we're thinking of fixing a time/location primarily for wrxatlanta, perhaps something closer to downtown... we're open to suggestions another thing we did a couple times was bowling... the turnout was low but if the newer members are interested, we could make this somewhat more regular solo2 events which are held once a month would be cool to come to chill and cheer on fellow members who participate... if anyone here does not know about subaru challenge, check out http://www.wrxatlanta.com/bb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=191&highlight=subaru+challenge we'll keep having special events like the dyno-day planned at knowledge performance on 10/23... maybe in the future we could plan an evening at the drag strip... or ultimately ... track day
Alex said something about meeting up at Northpoint Mall thrusday nights, what time do people start showing up. I have been looking to meet some WRX guys, actually met some last year at Andretti's, but I wasn't living here at that time.
