I've made an offer to buy a home that has a 30+ HVAC unit that still works. Since the unit is old and inefficient, I want to be proactive and get someone to spec-out and size a new system before the unit does something like die in mid August, transforming me into a salesman's dream situation. Also, I would like to hear from anyone about their experiences with any specific makes of AC equipment, and installers. EDIT: Would it be possible to edit thread titles?
Not sure if you have the ability to edit thread titles, but PM me the new title and I shall gladly change it for you.
You may want to try PM'ing AXLEJOHNSON. He does something with HVAC stuff though I'm not sure what. Maybe he could point you in the right direction.
I used to work for Lennox, and I still think their equipment is some of the finest on the market; it's not cheap though. For personal use I have a Rheem system, which is good bang for the buck. I have an old co-worker that used to do installs as a side business; if you are interested I can fire him off an email. His side business company (I think just him and another guy) did my house a couple of years ago and it was a flawless install with zero problems since. By the way, are you doing the furnace as well?
