I used to be. Man that was along time. I used to play that game, what was it, the Pit or Pitfighter or something like that. Man those were the days.

my friends and I had one up for a short time

I remember thinking 1200 baud modems were the shiznit. Of course back then they would have been called "awesome" or "radical" depending on your age.

 

I remember good ole 1200/75.

 

I still have an acoustic coupler
but I used to use with a thinkpad on a payphone *whistles*
I can't remember the speed of the first modem we had, but it was short lived since we switched to mac, there was nothing to connect to really
