so my kenwood amp died on me i think. i tested the power and remote and they are ok. ground seems solid...at least it has working in that spot for a year now. it powers up but doesn't do anything after that. any ideas on what to check? oh and its an amp under my seat that powers a mtx 6 inch sub. if that helps. any help would be great becuase my stereo sound awful without any base.

Did u check the wires there might be a wire that has been spliced somewhere and the power is touching metal. Possible your Fuses are blown check all of them including your power wire fuse. Also doesn't Kenwood usually have a red light to show weather its getting power?? Also check your sub you might have blown the Subs wire in the inside. You know what i mean??

yeah the red light is on but nothing is a happening. ill doubel check the fuses again. kenwood amps are usually bullet proof so im assuming its something with the wiring.

    thanks

sounds like your power is fine. i would check your speaker wire. make sure there isn't any stray wires touching terminals there not supposed to. if just one stray wire was touching the wrong terminal that would cause your amp to go into protection mode and not work. i would also make sure the speaker wire hasn't come loose from the speaker itself in the box.

edit well i see you fixed it lol
