Yesterday when I was at Troncolli picking up Subaru coolant for my car I noticed that the rubber door molding/seal my rear driver side window had seperated from the metal lip on the car. I showed this to the service tech who snapped it back in place, but I was wondering if this is a common problem. Anybody else have this issue?
yea, it's happened to both of mine, i'm going to get a service tech to glue it in there next time i'm at SoG.
Thanks for the responses, I hought it was odd I had my 04 WRX for 2+ years and 50K miles and never had this happen , but I noticed the problem with only 8K on the pignose.
i'm certain it's common with all cars without hard frames for the windows. i've always used silicone to fix this problem.
Yeah, my passenger side rear door had a similar issue, made a strange noise sometimes as well. I had the dealer fix it when I took the car in for an oil change. Not heard it since then, and the seal looks like they 'welded' it to the car now It doesn't budge.
