Anyone here use catch cans?

I was thinking of installing two catch cans to keep oil residue out of my intake manifold and intercooler.

Who here uses them, and has anyone fabricated their own? The pre-made's are a bit pricey for what they are.

 

Ming (goixiz) has made his own on the cheap with Home Depot supplies.

it looks pretty tgood to me.. hes been runnign ti liek that for a while.. and hes caught some stuff in it too

 

At what point would you need one on these or is it just good to have?

 

some needs it more than other
look in your IC if you have a coat of oil then you will need it
