I trade e-mini DOW futures. don't post about it because noone would know what I was rambling about or give a shit
I do. Been hessitant to invest right now though w/ all corruption and the fact that other than the stocks I sold pre-crash for GOLD, my current wall street type investments are all down 50% or more. At this time I am thinking of liquidating and making some real estate investments.
I do. Thats how I pay for my mods. I stick mostly with stocks that pay dividends and try to avoid day trading, although lately I have made a few quick trades.
I have been wanting to get into some trading for awhile now. I would think now is a great time to buy...but really roll the dice.
I have been buying in here lately and have made about 15% in a week doing some day trading on the advice of my buddy who has a masters in finance and is retired at 36, lol. Been paying close attention to the banks. There are some seriously undervalued stocks out there right now. TD Ameritrade has a deal where you put in $2000 and you get 30 days and 500 free trades (whichever comes first).
Deep in the money LEAPs are still the way to play it whether long or short. It's a nightmare timing things these days though since the market isn't allowed to do its thing without daily government intervention of some form. I'll go on record saying that tech will be one of the leaders in the recovery. INTC, WDC, IBM etc.
I have been doing weekly timings. Trying to get in low and trade when I see a large enough gain. I have done fairly well so far with AIG. Got in low, sold high and I am back in low again now, just not $.50 low like last time.
Start discussions now! What platforms are everyone using? I have been wanting to trade, but I am being extra tight with my money. Until I know what I am doing I am skerred!
neoticker with esignal feed. custom order entry software with ATC brokers that interfaces with openEcry
The main thing is there is a lot of stock down right now and it is like buying in at a clearance event. As long as the company stays around stock prices WILL go back up. Maybe not right away, but they will come back.
OH I don't know, I got in at 1.95 and got out a week later at $4.41 I think that is pretty dang good!
just about everything is undervalued... just pick solid long term companies and wait for the recovery... it'll happen.
