I dont know anything about them. I'd post up on Nasioc and see if anybody has run them in the 4EAT test port plug. The 4EATs have a test port that you can thread a temperature or pressure sensor into but some senders will not fit. I know the Autometer sender was too long and would not thread in.

Otherwise you could just get the OEM oil drain plug with the threads for a temperature probe. Then you measure the temp of the oil in the pan, not in the tranny. You could also tap into any of the ATF lines running to or from the radiator/oil cooler.

yeah, i've seen certain diesel apps using multiple analog boost guages, it was funky.

I figured if the digital one is good down to zero, you could save the trouble of 2 analogs.

Kanchou....... I had some their stuff in my boat, and, thats what they are most noted for is marine use and high quality. (you figure the marine engines are just monster auto motors.....obvioiusly modified....but, a boat, especially offshore design, take a pounding BIG TIME, and these things keep-on-running just fine and dont fall apart).

Ideally the test port on the side of the transmission. If you crawl up under the car(driver's side) you should see a couple little holes/bolts(I think 2 plugs and another indention) above the ATF filter. The plugs can be unscrewed and a probe screwed in its place but it's a shallow plug. One guy on Nasioc got a drill bit and made the plug deeper, then retapped it, in order to get an autometer probe in. Beware that the second you pull that plug off pink nasty smelling ATF will come pouring out.

    RiftsWRX: Modifications
Check out his tranny cooler install, then under his gauge install writeup, it shows how he tapped into one of the oil lines near the radiator.

I'll try to get a screenshot of the service manuals to show the test ports.

    Edit:
Just searched Nasioc; if you ever want a good read on 4EATs, search for anything by PadreWRX or RiftsWRX in the Nasioc Tranny forum. The temp probes from Defi and SPA gauges are confirmed fits. I just ran a search for test plug in the transmission forum and there was a lot of info.
