I'll be looking into a set of track wheels in the not too distant future, and unless i get a killer deal on oem BBS wheels, I'd like to get the zigens

so, what size and offset are you running and have you had any rubbing issues?

I run 275 V710s on my BBS with a 5 mil spacer. I still have some rubber in the rear underhard turning at an autox course.

They do not come in an offset that's really for a streetsetup, people still use them (myself, greg now, etc). The only offset offered in that size that fits the car is the 35. If you move up to their 18", they offer a 48 offset.

crap, i was hoping to run 17s... but i guess the issue is not being able to lock the steering wheel with a 35 offset?

so alex have you tracked them without tearing up the tires?

The issue is the rear, with an offset that wide on the 2004 I was having fender rubbing issues. But, the 05+ stis have a .25 to .5" wider rear fender on each side. James was having minimal issues with my wheels, he ended up raising his coilovers a tiny bit and voila!

Why not just get a set of Rota's ?

Hey, somehow I missed this thread... I did have some rubbing issues in the rear after installing the wheels, but after raising the rear to match the front (1.00"), there has only been one instance of rubbing and that was an unavoidable deep pothole. I wouldn't suggest them if you are just running springs.

alex: i want to run the zigens because they're so ligh... and sexy

james: i have tein flex that i'm putting on, and i only lower it enough for the control arm to be 90deg loaded. these wheels will be track-only

I understand why you want the zigens, its why I bought them ;)

Go for the 17x8 then, or try the 18x8.5 for the pure track bling :bigthumb:
