Has ANYONE imported anything from out of the country into the US before. I am needing to see what all is involved with this. Trying to get a handle on a ballpark figure for getting something here that weighs around 300 lbs.
it depends on your method of shipping. Air frieght is crazy expensive, like $3,000 for something that heavy. Ironically, you can ship via a 20' or 40' container for almost the same price. I used to ship tires from Asia and it would cost around $4,000 for a 40' to your door. There may be other options like a mixed container with other importers. This might be a good time to get a group buy on some JDM parts and split up the costs.
