I've got some goodies to install and could use a knowledgeable hand. It should be similar to an alarm type install (power leads, a box, wire routing, etc.) For the curious folk... no one else has one of these yet in wrxatlanta. Though a couple nasioc people do. :naughty:
I am good with Stereo stuff, amps, speakers, headunits, box building, etc... Never did an alarm though. I could at least lend a hand.
with all this secrecy I might have to come take a look...although I have no clue how to install an alarm
Is it NAWWWWWWWWWWWWWZ? PM me if you have any specific elec questions, I can do a fair bit though I doubt I have time to come help in person...
It's not an alarm... Hey 420, most any evening/weekend is good for me. Just call and let me know. I'll PM my #.
My co-op job was wiring alarm systems for buildings, i still have most of my crimp tools and such. Kinda interested if you need help.
Hey Jason & company, I've got the hard parts installed and I'm ready to rock! Amy and the kids are away so I'm free to do the electrical parts Thurs, Fri or Sat. Teaser #3: All the custom fab'ing and welding turned out great! I'm very happy with the results so far. The installers took some before/after photos which I'll link to when I get them.
This Saturday 10am at my house. I don't think I can wait much longer... Hopefully Jason (420) can make it. Hey peD, my car jacks are broken. Could you bring one?
shucks.... don't think I can do Sat. Let me check and see. Maybe I can make it for an hour or so. Even if I can't make it, I can at least drop off a jack stand. Do you need the jack itself or jack stands??
Just a jack. The seals on both my jacks won't hold fluid and leak, grrr. Luckily my jack stands don't have any seals.
Hey Brian, I think I saw you and someone with a silver 06 WRX sedan parked outside El Porton...I was in a hurry otherwise I would have dropped by and said hey. Did you get this finished?
YUP! It's a FOOKIN MONSTER now. A few issues still need to be resolved, but it's working. For those who've wanted to know, "What is it?". . . . . . . . You'll have to wait until the next g2g.
And a big thanks to ped for doing jack. Notes from the installs we did: The HKS center section and axle back exhaust are each different lengths than their stock counterparts. And the Accessport v2 is sweet. PDA sized and loaded with maps, real time monitoring, etc.
you bastard...I should go over there and take pics of your car and let everyone know what it is...assuming I can see it from outside the car
Yes, Brett, you should've stopped by. Then you could've seen it and be "in the know". You probably can't see it, unless you know what to look for. :squint:
