    So I havent touched my APv2 in months. Went to reset the ECU when I filled up with gas today and it wont power on.

    Havent been able to check much, but what the hell?

    I shook the dongle and the AP itself, everything seemed in tact. What gives?

    try to power it up on a computer to see if it is the connector or the AP itself.

    if it doesnt turn on after you try it with a new usb cord and with a pc, you could have a burned out processor...ask me how i know!
    $175 fix or so.

    Same issue with mine. I called cobb they said send it in. I mailed it in and they ended up upgrading the dongle and put in a new cable free of charge. Being nice to people gets you a long ways!! lol

    Ugh, I hope it isn't that. I mean, the thing just sat in my trunk in a box for a few months.

    So I plugged the APv2 into my computer and I got a warning message that there was a power surge on the USB port. Sounds like a short inside the APv2. Dammit.

    Hmm, so maybe it still works. I plugged it into my computer and pulled up AP Updater and it ran through everything and said that the AP was up to date now.

    AP Manager also sees it. Maybe the screen just died???

    Just spoke to Cobb, sending the AP back this weekend for them to check it out. Hopefully this isnt too costly.

    Received a tracking notification from Cobb. So I called them up and asked what was going on.

    Guy says that the main board shorted and killed the screen. So the replaced everything, and on top of that, gave me a new dongle and cable. Said its basically a brand new AP. Wonder if its considered an AP-SUB-003? Forgot to ask, oh well.

    The best part... FREE. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    Got the AP back yesterday. Works like a charm. Cobb noted that they gave me some updated bits. New dongle, etc.. This is what I got..

    The cable ends at that silver line. So there is a portion of the connector sticking out from the AP. No more USB.

    The connector threw me off, anyone else have an AP like this?
