"Apparently a technical malfunction caused the crash, not so much driver error. Not like we'll ever know for sure obviously. Not too surprising, the driver broke both legs."
the throttle got stuck and the shifter was frozen..... http://forum.atomclub.com/index.php?topic=7438.0;topicseen also, the passenger broke a leg...
It'll buff right out.... Seriously I can envision it all happen in my head. In second gear the speedo sweeps up faster than a typical windshield wiper set on fast. Those guys are lucky to be alive.
I would guess not a whole hell of a lot, seeing as the car had just been damaged and repaired pretty extensively. Either way, it's amazing how that chassis took the impact. With all that twisted metal it's a miracle those two weren't killed. However, props to the driver for his judgment. I think head on was the best way to take the impact given how that car is built.
