    Geesh,

That race team is totally whoring themselves out to Scientology as a sponsor.

I mean if they win would they really want victory photos with Dianetic's propoganda over their race suits and car.

This is the only time I'm aware of that a belief system/religion (and a kooky one in my opinion) has been advertised on a race car.

I wish I was a scientologist, that would mean I was extremely rich and probably a celebrity

Hehe, we all need mo money.

I think Scientologist's kiss up to the wealthy and famous, to promote it and to have a customer base that can afford all their courses auditis and such. I don't think that Scientology makes people wealthy and famous, I think it just seeks people who are wealthy and famous.

Has anyone seen Nascar legislation to remove all gp's in the Phoneix streets? Thats right, the Nascar mafia wants to force all auto racing to be held in motorsports park (like the ones they own). http://clemsonscc.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=4177. Just thought I would get my Nascar bashing in.

that would be correct sir. there are plenty of "drones" who live communaly and don't have much money (and what they do have/make they give to the higher-ups). they seek wealthy people because only wealthy people can afford to pay for the "enlightenment" courses that put them closer to the "ultimate truth".

hubbard was quite the card. a failed science fiction writer who was once a satanist who scammed his high (satanic)priest out of all his money, his woman, and his yachts. of course he was a navy "war hero" according to him and his followers, but the navy could never find any record that he did anything more than menial tasks. alister crowley (the head of the church of satan) once said "i cannot believe my most faithful were conned by this two bit joker"... which is funny, coming from a satanist ;)

he had a wife and i think a couple kids that he stiffed along the way, various cons, etc. until he came up with the idea of "xenu" the evil alien who controls all earthlings minds and keeps them from using their supernatural powers. then he devised a religion around battling xenu, and enabling people to be "supernatural" through his religion. of course to attain the "secrets" to overcome xenu, one must cut large checks to the church of scientology so they can be taught.

those who can't afford the lessons, work as indentured servants to the church to pay off their "enlightenment".

that's the really cliff-noted version(and no none of it is bullshit)...
yeah, i've spent a bit of time studying various religions.

Wow. I guess some commitee thought that would be a great advertising plan. The irony with NASCAR today is that so many new age things are making thier way into the sport because it is a huge advertising venue yet the majority of the fans are more of the good ole boy mentality.

I don't hate NASCAR though. Yes I prefer other motorsports over it..... but you don't have to hate one thing to love another.

I'm pretty open to different beliefs and religions, but Scientology, is too much of a racket.

Unlike established religions that reference books like the Bible, Torra, or Koran, Scientology material is a series of copywrighted courses. When opponents try to quote or reference these copywrighted courses they are often sued by the Scientologists.

There's more odd stuff on Scientology on http://xenu.net
