So since I'm a college student that parks in a deck and don't have access to a hose, what are some good places to get my car washed? I think most everyone agrees that the drive through gas stations suck on paint...so does anyone have any reccomendations on not too expensive places to go? I actually would prefer one of the places that you just put quarters into and have the little soapy-water gun thing. Gracias.
this one shady lookin place on howell mill, busy bee does a good job for 8 bucks for students, they'll vacuum your mats if you ask nice usually. I dont like those quarter places because you have to use those stiff brushes for the soap, probably screws up the clear coat bad.
I use the touchless, but if the car is too dirty it wont matter. I try to wash myself if it's not too cold. still tryin to find a decent hand wash place that dosen't cost a arm and leg.
I use Cactus car wash on Pnce de Leon. It's a pretty easy drive from Tech. They do a really good job, and it's a nice place. http://www.cactuscarwash.net/a1.htm#Car Wash Price List
There's a place on northside that milo and I like to go to -- northside auto salon. they do great work.
My apartment complex has a car wash facility. Milo and Emol come by quite often in the summers to clean thier cars. If you are interested you are welcome to use it. PM me if you are interested and I can give you the gate code so I can buzz you in. You would just need your own cleaning supplies, bucket, and if you haev one, bring a hose. There is one there, but it has many holes and leaks like a bitch, but it is better than nothing.
I am actually in the prosses of trying to open a detail shop come this spring, i live in cumming so it would definetly be in this area, and of course there will be a suby discount!
Right now I go to Championship Car Wash in front of Sam's Club off of 20 near the Mall of Georgia. It's fine. Unless you go mudding and your car is completely covered in mud including the undercarriage. After going twice through, my car was still dirty.
We have a car wash facility on our complex too, here in Kennesaw, and it is covered with 2 hoses, just PM me when you want to use it and bring your supplies, etc. Mark
Damn guys, thanks. If I make it to the meet I deifnitely want to get it washed beforehand. If not then definitely before the mountain cruise. I think I'll stick with a place where I have to pay for now, just due to the fact that I don't have any supplies with me. Down the road though I may start doing it at someones complex to save some dough. Once again, I appreciate all of the input.
i use cali car wash near north deklab mall they do hand car wash outside for 10 bucks inside and outside for 20 and wax and whole wash for 40..
Those quarter washes are ok. You don't have to use the brushes and such. I know some of them say not to but when i used them i would take a bucket and my own rags and such and just fill the bucket with the soap water. Just put money in to wet and rinse...
I think I will probably end up using Cactus or the northside one, it's looking again likely that I'll be coming to the meet friday so I need to get my baby looking good.
the northside one is real cool... they hand wash... the owner's name is terrance... tell him milo sent u there if u want to move ur car in and out of the washing area, they will let u do that... so basically nobody ends up driving ur car but u... (they also have complimentary beer )
i dont remember... i'd like to say ~15 for external, ~23 for internal and external, ~33 for internal/external + quick detail
