Traditionally I've just used painters tape, but this Sunday my car is going to be used as a 2-driver, so I was thinking about buying magnets or something to use. I need BSP 107 for each side, so we went to a craft store and the magnets were almost $50 :eek3: Does anyone know how I can either make something to use or get any cheaper materials? For the record, we looked at letters / numbers around 10" in height and then a roll (24" x 12") of magnet material and we were going to make our own...the roll was cheaper, but it was still $50. That seems ridiculously high for a freaking magnet... Any and all suggestions appreciated (other than the Matt Ball philosophy of Auto-X stinks, don't do it :keke
It doesn't stink...and you weren't that jerky....its just not my thing. I swear I'm going to come to an autox event just to make you guys feel bad.
See you there FYI you Buy magnetic sheeting at McMasterCarr online and usually you can get it next day (because there is a warehouse in Atlanta). It's usually very cheap like $6 per lenght of 2ft by 1ft, and they will also have different colors (white black red). I usually just print out numbers on a piece of paper and use double sided taped to stick them to the sheet and then cut them out. Takes a bit of time but you can get some numbers for $20.
Thanks Mere Just ordered a 2' x 2' sheet for only $4.20 + shipping. Says it ships today, so hopefully I'll get it before this weekend :coolugh: Much better than picking it up at an art store...$50 for a 2' x 1' sheet is ridiculous...
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1233984 already done and cut...Cam is on here and the price, IMO, is fair.
I ordered a big sheet from McMaster at around 12:30-1pm and it arrived the SAME day. I got lots of numbers! I made my numbers by printing them on paper fist, using the largest font size that I could. Then I used those as a template and just cut the sheet with scissors - felt like I was in kindergarten again doing craft time.
