Well I have an AVC-r and had questions to anyone that has used one or setup one before. Honestly, I would probably be better with just a simple Electronic Boost Controller but I have the AVC-r and already purchased it so why not use it. My questions are 1. Do you have to use the throttle signal? 2. Can you use the AVC-R as just a boost controller without all the fancy different gear set limits? Anyone with experience want to help me out with the install/setup?
Yes it needs to be hooked up to the throttle. If you're not going gear based, put a manual on it. We have the new TopSpeed MBC for $69.95 and they work like CHAMPS. Siegel
For a setup that can run the same boost in all gears, they just plain work. They're simple, reliable and consistent. Only the good ones like the Hallman Pro and the TopSpeed one though Siegel
