B9 tribeca front sway bar.

    I picked up a B9 front sway bar from SOG today and all I can say is that it is one big ass bar. It also has an ubelievable price tag compared to the other offerings out there.

    I have yet to install it but when I do I will post a review.

    Now all I need to complete my setup is some stock 16" RS wheels with some good auto-x tires. If anyone knows where I can get some before the Subaru Challenge, let me know.

    So - wait - will it fit an 03' rex wagon? I assume you're putting it on the bugeye you've got...

    With the sti end links it should fit. Plenty of people have been running the combo on wrx wagons and sedans.

    Although, I think on Nasioc people have been coming to the conclusion that due to the modifications you have to run to get it on properly, it is acting like a 21mm front sway bar. But then again I found this on a RS website so it might not be applicable to y'all.

    With STi endlinks, you can run fatty STi bars.... Although the Tribeca bar is cheaper

    wagons are narrower, AFAIK to run a sedan or sti bar you need to have the whiteline spherical endlinks on the front. Will said that you can use STI rear endlinks with the front bolts and it would work, Did I hear you right on that WJM?

    Ugh - LoL - see - this is where having a wagon becomes a PITA...

    I knew there are fitting issues w/ certain sway bars on the wagons b/c they are narrower - it's just a matter of figuring out which ones work where and how and what hoops I have to jump through to make it work!

    I mean, I could just run a wagon bar - but that's just too simple! This is a Subaru we're talking about here! SHEESH!

    Can't you just swap to STi front control arms?

    Yes, wagon are narrower in the track, but the STi bar fit exactly in side to side dimension. The problem with the wagon is the smaller bolt size on the control arm, you have a 10mm bolt up top and an 8mm bolt on bottom, where sedans have 10mm top and bottom

    When you getting this installed? What end links are you going to use?

    Haha - yeah - you can always do stuff to make stuff work...but the point of this was that the Tribeca bar was cheaper... Having to modify the car to make it fit; removes that factor...

    I guess I'll just continue holding out until I can get myself a whiteline set...lol

    i am in the process of installing sti sway bars on my 03 wagon. i think all i need are the brackets to hold the bushing which isn't expensive at all. i will be doing this at the install day sunday

    the bar fits all subarus.

    For sedans, 2002+ use the STi REAR endlinks.

    For all wagons, pre-2001 sedans/couple, use 2.5 RS specific front endlinks and it works fine.

    You'll also need 24mm or 25mm bushings appropriate to the model year you are installing it on.

    I have confirmed fitment on:
    2002~2005 WRX sedan
    2002~2005 WRX wagon
    2002~2005 2.5 RS sedan
    2002~2005 2.5 RS/TS/OBS wagon
    ALL 1995~1999 Legacy Sedan/Wagon
    ALL 1992~2001 Impreza Sedan/Wagon/Coupe
    ALL B9 Trbieca

    Should fit everything else too. Dunno about the Justy tho.

    Sucks I have to use STi rear endlinks. Stockers aren't metal are they?

    Well I installed the bar today at the install day and it clunked majorly. Right now I am driving with the bar disconnected. I may just give up and go with the stock bar.

    how tight did you torque those bolts down? Don't want them to tight or the bar binds and does something under there giving the 'clunk'

    his clunk wasn't related to the bolts being too tight. unfortunately.

    I dont think the endlinks were over tightened but after I drove around the parking lot they were all leaking grease. I also used the bushings from an ADCO bar and the opening was a little too small. When I torque the brakets over the bushings they compressed fine but are probably to tight on the bar to allow it to move.


    I also just read in the service manual that you are supposed to tighten the bushing brackets with a load on the suspension. I did not. When the car was int hte air the bar was not contacting the crossmember. After I drove it around it was hitting on both sides where there is a kink in the bar.

    ah, yeah could be a problem there.

    I had issues with getting my whitelines in whilst in the air as well. The front was the hardest. I think I just crammed the bolt in there, then set it down on the ground to tighten. Works a lot better with ramps.

    hell yeah!! Glad to hear you got it taken care of. Just a little bending with the hammer huh.
    What about the endlinks? Did you use the oily ones, or did you go with some other ones?
