I apparently have a bad bearing in my d/s front wheel, does anyone know if I can just re-pack the bearings or what will need to be done. Thanks

Depends on how bad. Jack that wheel up and feel for movement. If the bearings are allowing some movement don't drive it *at all*. If they are just making noise you might be able to get away with just greasing for a little while.

I have a 2 ton bearing press if you need to use one.

They are most likely sealed bearings, if they are indeed bad, they will need to be replaced! :(

so I'm looking at about $300 for one installed, but does anyone know how much just the parts run? I've got access to any tools I need; so if I can do it myself that would be great. Thanks for the info guys.

Well, the subaru parts site says the OEM wheel bearing cost roughly $60.

    Part No. 28316 "Bearing-front axle"

so not as bad as I thought...good. Very helpful. I didn't think about looking on the subaru site Alex, I looked on the SOG site instead and didn't see it.

Front bearings arent too bad to replace, the rears ugh. Good luck! The manual is posted somewhere around here, and it has a step by step.
