A friend I work with (Tom Saltino) is hosting a Barber Motorsports Park Driver's Safety Seminar in Birmingham, AL. The event will be held November 5th-6th and cost $349. He moderates an Audi club and club membership is required to attend the event, which costs an additional $40 for a total $389. The event is two days. There is some classroom on the first day for beginners. The majority of your time will be spent on track with one on one, in car, instruction. Once the instructor feels your confident to solo he will sign off and you can be on your own if you wish. For additional information see Tom's website listed below, PM me, or email Tom directly (tom@audiclubna.com). -SonciBoom www.audiclubna.org/chapters/cherokee
me too... i just broke the bank with new tires! but i didn't realized that there is a big audi club in the south east.
Man, I would love to drive that track. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'm broke too though! I'll probably be spending $120+ in gas getting to Maggie Valley and back...
Yeah, there is a large chapter for the audi guys here. Some combination of the audiworld and audizine owners.
It's a cool track but RA is a ton better IMO. I was there last Nov and knowing that if you hit the armco it'll cost you like $3000 a pop, takes the fun out of it. Javid nailed the armco in this turn and it cost him big time... *me in the corkscrew George Barber is way too strict to have a good time there. More of my pics from last year are here.
