Saturday Dec. 19th Batlground is having a Dyno Day. This is a CHARITY EVENT. We are having a toy drive for Toys For Tots Atlanta. This is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE event. We are not setting a specific limit of cars dyno'd. We are gonna go till we can't go no mo'. If you would like to pre-register please come by the shop to drop off the toy, or we can take CC/paypal payment. We will be accepting unwrapped toys in lieu of the standard $30 for 2 pulls. If you do not wish to bring a toy(s) we will still accept the $30 and donate that as well. Dyno runs will start at 10 am, gate opens at 9 am. All spectators are free as always, but don't let that stop you from bringing something. We will have a grill and there will be SOME food provided, basic stuff burgers, dogs, chicken. Feel free to bring your own. We will cook it on up for you. Everyone knows how tough it has been over the last year and a half. I thought this would be a great way to help less fortunate kids. If you are interested and can help this cause, please respond to this post, pm, or email me. batlbrandon@gmail.com Anyone interested in helping the day of the event, that would be greatly appreciated as well. again post, pm, or email me. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS FOR CHARITY, don't skimp out on a gift for a less fortunate kid. Thanks again everyone, look forward to seeing you. Brandon @ Batlground. If you cannot make it out please visit the Toys For Tots website for instructions on how to donate. http://www.toysfortots.org/donate/toys.asp
My motor is suppose to go in that weekend. If for some reason it gets finished early, I will be there.
I'll have to get on this to see if my motor has loosened up and picked up any power over the last 20K miles. I'm guessing the toys should be in the ballpark of $30? And is there any specific age group we should cater to with the toys?
I think toys for tots is one of the greatest charitys out there! I will plan attending! It's like donating to a great cause and getting free dyno pulls :wiggle: not to mention good times with great people and friends! WOOT WOOT! Let's make this a great turnout people!
AWWWW so sad! Have fun out there. I will have to ask Brandon about the age range since he set it all up, but I think any age range works. All kids need toys.
I agree, after the dyno day there is a Toys for Tots concert down at the Star Bar, I go to it every year so if anyone wants to join me Ill be headed there after the dyno day.
I am trying to leave it up to the donator rather than ask for a specific amount spent. Just use good judgment. As far as age, there is not a specific age group that is targeted. All donations get separated by Toys For Tots. Thanks everyone! This is going to be awesome!
I would come and bring some toys.. but would prolly get hung. Props though for having this event, everyone should do their part around the holidays to help the kids.
Come on Doug, you are invited and I'm sure everyone would love to see you down here. Bring that HTA car with you. Brandon and I were going to come to the Scavenger hunt but we couldn't get it together in time.
Oh you stop it. Come on broski and hang out. We can take an AAP type pic together for FB and shock everyone. You should know by now that I am all about the shock factor. Besides, we have something in common now...... Yep that's me and Chris Anderson huggin it out.
Great! Thanks a bunch guys n gals! So far WRX atlanta has topped the responses. Says a lot about the type of people here!
Yes, you can bring a toy the day of. In fact, I suspect that is what most people will be doing since no one has come to drop anything off yet. Like we stated in the OP, first come first serve.
Our FB event page says we have 68 confirmed to show up, but you know how that goes. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=10017672&id=737615042#/event.php?eid=187850143305&ref=ts
damn dont' get off till 12 here in Grayson, gonna get there at 1pm or so. i hope some spots will be left open.
It looks as though there will be a lot of people showing up for the dyno day this Saturday. As some of you know, we have limited parking. We have spoken with our 2 neighbors on either side of our building, Alicia's grocery and Jeff's Automotive Rest.(in the blue building). They have allowed us to use their lots for the day. I am asking that you please respect their property and do not leave behind trash. It is especially important that if you park at Jeff's that you DO NOT RUN OVER THE BUSHES TO GET OUT. It happens every time and he gets upset with us about it. If someone has blocked you in, please come find me or someone else from BG and we will help to find the owner of the car with the bull horn. Thank you and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
No age limit on toys, nothing is too young and nothing is too old. We are talking about kids here! Thanks everyone.
