DUDE! i hope you know i was kidding. hehe well i kinda do have a vtec. err.. mivec. vtec is just older style valve control. tell you the truth i never felt any kick from a s2k when it kicked in. my lugnuts require more torque than honda. lol
sorry to mess your sale thread up GO BATTLEGROUND~! BUY SOMETHING PEOPLE~!!! GET YER CAR TUNED~!!! NOW~~~~~~!!!!!
Tracy No we do not. At this time we do not own software rights to Ecutek and its dealer specific only so we cannot tune it. We do however do Custom ECU flashing, Cobb AP, Hydra, AEM for you subaru guys. -Mike
Live tuning only works on the 02-03 wrx's and the flashing speed isn't any faster than Ecuflash. The live tuning only enables global offsets to the base maps so its not much compared to Cobb's street tuner. The open source stuff is way better than Ecutek from the stand point that it keeps evolving. In case you missed it a basic version of launch control was just released. Also the end user support is actually better than Ecutek's customer no service.
True. I just remember a lot of tuners not wanting to use Open Source. Never mind......I hate Ecutek anyways....it's pure shit in my book because of customer no-service. Really the only thing I think it has going for it is DeltaDash with it's graphical interface.
In reality, the Open Source stuff is good for the guys that do some mods, and never want anything else. Its for guys that dont want multiple maps, livetuning, etc. Its mainly for mild setups that will never require anything else. For guys that want Pump gas, Meth, Race Gas, or more than 1 map (for track or auto-x, drag) then the open source isnt for them. my .02
More than 1 map I agree, as it would be annoying carrying around a LT and cables to swap maps all the time. However, you still change the same stuff in the ECU that you do with Cobb/ET to get those big numbers...it just takes longer as you dont have the 'live tuning'....but its not far behind in getting there. Plus if you have stuff to base off of...its much faster already.
