I just bought an 06 STI and it came with a Perrin EBCS (which I did not notice until I got it home) Anyways after researching this EBCS I started looking at Perrin's website and comparing the installation illustrations with the installation of my EBCS and it does not match. So I tried to hook it up in the slow response method, since I am not tuned for this. But I do not have the stock restrictors. So I left it alone and did some logging. I am not overboosting but I feel like I should just revert back to a stock bcs until I am tuned. So I guess I need to get a stock bcs and the restrictor? Anyone have a part number for it or know where I can pick one up? Any advice on the situation? Am I going about this the right way?
Putting the stock setup on the car would be doing the right thing for sure. However, I did notice that it was missing all the right hoses and such...so its going to get expensive from SUBARU to get everything you need. Try to get it used. The turbo line set thats on the turbo with the pill in it is cheap tho. I dont have that number in front of me. Any more oil leaks?
Someone on IWSTI said that since the original harness that the stock bcs connected to is cut out that it would be very expensive to go back to stock so I guess until I can get a map tuned for this ebcs I just need the the line and the restrictor pill. Oh yeah no more oil leaks
SWEEEEEEEEETTTTT!!!!! I'm da man. Still dont know why the first two gaskets leaked so bad. The line set for the STi is available as an assembly with the pill already in it from SUBARU. That would really be all you need for it and to set it to 'bleed type' setup and be 'ok' until you get tuned. Send me a PM tomorrow and I can get you that part number and price.
