I'm getting kinda tired of my stock in-dash cd player and i want to upgrade my sound system. I'm trying to figure out how to best use the wonderfully large double-din thats so popular our japanese cars. here are the following options: 1. decent single-din head unit and a single din 6-disc mp3 cd changer. 2. again, 1-din head unit with something like a 12 band eq right below it. 3. just the cd-player and a silly little storage space. 4. if someone handed me $1300 the Pioneer AVIC-D1 5. A double-din head unit that looks cool and doesn't have a freakin tape player in it. now, price is of some concern but I want a clean and great sounding system any suggestions????
ecutek monitor... not bad the pioneer nav. has some kind of car monitoring system but i dont have the details yet
Option 5: Single DIN head unit and 03 Forester DIN pocket I've got my HU on top and the pocket below it. The pocket is pretty small but can hold CDs; I keep my remote control for my head unit up there. I guess you could keep all sorts of stuff up there mainly it just cleans up the install.
i get the AVIC D1 for 700........but anywayz i would do a single head unit with a EQ personally....or a custom guage mount under.
