Anyone have any experience with these tires? Loud? Wet traction? etc.
Costco has a pretty price on these with a promotion ending this Sunday.

www.TireRack.com has reviews for them you should check out. Check my sig for the tires I went with (very quiet, excellent wet grip, good dry drip, but the softer sidewalls slow turn-in).

BTW, were these discontinued for the KDW2's?

Yeah, I've read tirerack a good bit. Was just wondering if anyone had personal experience.

Bost costco and discount tire show just KDW's. No designation of a "2". Even bfgoodrich.com doesn't list a "2"

I just may end up going with Falken Azenis ST115's or the Kuhmo MX's.

There is a 2, it was originally designed for the SRT-4. They exist, we have them on my father's lotus elan.

I have ran one set of KDW’s and am on my second set of KDWS’s (S as in Sam not 2(two)). I think the D and W stand for Dry and Wet and they were great in both. However they did not last long. The S is more of an all season tire. Figure double the life.
I know the tread pattern has changed on these so my experience probably means nothing. I picked up the KDW’s from the TireRack for 98 bucks on sale. I would not pay what Discount Tire and others ask for them. 150 plus..

I wanted to get those tires, the guy at Gran Turismo who did my allignment stated that there so loud I would hate them... I trust his word because I was prepared to pay for the KDW's and he then sold me the G Force sports which were way cheaper. I would think if he was BS'ing he would've just gave me what I asked for....

I forgot about that. The KDWS and the KDW 'sport' are not the same tire. BFG seems to want to confuse folks there. It pisses me off that it's so hard to buy tires. Try buying Hankook comp tires.. "we kick ass.. but you can't buy us". wft?? and yes I called the distriburtor.. them "duh.. part number what?" me "it's just 4 tires on a truck full of tires.. it can't be that hard.." Yes.. folks it is. :\

the KDW2's are the ones that have a tread pattern similar to flames. I have those. I think they're pretty loud but are suppper sticky for an all-season tire. They have great wet traction as well. Tread life is around 20-30k miles-ish depending on how you drive.

Browncow had the KDW's and loved them. There pretty loud though. I am running the RT615's, along with some other members. There on sale at edge racing for 112.00(225-45-17) wich is a steal. I just bought another set even though I dont need them yet.

I have them them on my STi, and I love them. The stockers were way louder. The most impressive things are the wet weather traction and the way the shoulder holds up to my driving! Seriously, in GAs downpours, I barely have to ease up. I'm totally sold. 245/40/17.

im planning on getting a set of these bfg's this week too. you said costco has them on sale?? i hope that is a largescale thing and not local. i know my buddy just put them on his stock wrx, ive driven it a couple times and the things just plain stick to the road. they also held up extremely well in the autocross yesterday, a bit better than my bald pzero neros...

Just know what you're getting yourself into. They are obnoxiously loud. Other than that they stick to the tarmac in any condition
