Scott tamed the "Devil Child" (a name my car has inherited due to her inability to be tuned) today. After a long day of figeting and playing with setting I think we have finally found the sweet spot for my setup. Right now I am boosting 19 psi and we think I have a slight vacuum leak maybe around the junk TXS RFL bov which I will replace in the future as recommended by Scott. Anyways every gear is awesome and just slams you back. I have never felt my car that strong....close but not quite that close. Setup includes Deadbolt TD05h 18g, Perrin FMIC, Perrin short ram and turbo inlet, modded stock injectors 820cc, one step colder iridium plugs, ERZ up pipe and downpipe, 3" B&B catback, TXS junk bov and a few other minor things. Anyone considering Scott at Subaru of Gwinnett should go ahead and let him tune your car. I promise ya you WILL NOT be disappointed. Oh yeah nice meeting ya Milo and a few of you others. Genya turns out my EBCS was fine and Scott has yours. Thanks for the offer and help. Milo you missed all the fun just when you left....lol
Congratulations on a well tuned car! Congratulations on another job well done as well Mr.Siegel. Hope to see you out at a g2g soon :wavey:
see dude, i knew the fun pulls we about to begin... i reached work around 3pm... if i wouldve stayed any longer, i probably wouldnt have made it to work at all... i bet the car pulls hard... it was pulling real hard at 17psi which was the last run i experienced... i can only imagine how happy u must be shoot me a message whenever ur back in town... also keep checking the g2g section for upcoming meets
Funny thing is it stayed in 17psi for a while as Scott kept modifying the timing table and whatnot and it just kept impressing me and I was like wow only 17psi? LOL It was hitting 19psi this morning and the car was actually LOVING IT!
Dyno numbers don't mean jack.....they are just numbers. For instance before I even get the retune I stayed dead even with a 325hp 350 tq STI and my car was only a 304 hp 297 tq car.
STi's are heavier-blahblah blah. It would have been nice to see a before and after tune for comparison. Oh well.
Whatever. Trust me the before tune was not even streetable. Imagine overboosting and then falling to 15 psi over and over and the car just keeps pulling and pulling timing to the point where a Civic can blow by you.....yeah it was that bad.
