    If you mean you want it just checked out I would take it to any of the shops that do motor builds. They can at the very least check all the clearances etc. it also depends on how far along the assembly is. If you're talking a split block that has only been machined that's easy, but if it's an assembled block there would be disassembly that would be required to really check everything out. Any back story?

    Ej205 I'm building. I'm bout to tear it down and split the block. So I'll need to have it checked after its apart

    What are u guys option on internals. I would like to see anywhere between 350 to 400 hp

    just do a 2.5L hybrid and learn what it's like to have low end torque

    This. And it will probably be easier (and less laggy) to get to your goals. Hybrid setup, STI crank, stock rods and forged Pistons with a Dom 1.5 will hit 350 wheel incredibly easily.

    OEM STi crank and rods are forged so all you need is the correct pistons. The choice is do you go with a EJ257 short block or EJ205 with 79mm crank... I vote the latter

    02 WRX short or bare block $350-500 ish used locally (I paid $350)
    2013 OEM sti nitride crank $350 new from SOG pn 12200aa430
    EJ257 rods i bought eagle for $290 not sure how much OEM cost
    Wiseco EJ205 92.5mm pistons for use with 79mm STI crank $500
    2010 12mm OEM JDM oil pump pn 15010aa310
    closed impeller 02 OEM WRX water pump pn 21111aa026
    i forgot how much i spent on arp studs and acl bearings
    2006 STI OEM oil pan bought used
    Killer b oil pick up bought direct
    killer b baffles modded to fit pan bought used
    +0.5 oversize

    im doing ~9.0:1 comp. Currently using stock ej205 heads and intake. Looking to get EJ207 heads & intake if price is right
