Hey everybody, Don't want to wait until June for an autox school? BMW CCA is holding an autox school on March 31st and April 1st. While I have not attended this event before, but I'm sure it will be a decent as the local BMW club seemed to be avid autoxers. They have a small class meeting on the 31st which I do believe you have to attend for the saturday track time. I was going to attend but I am going to be at TGPR on the 1st with the local S2000s. I will be at regular event being held on that sunday April 2nd. Please note BMW CCA limits their entries to 60 or 70 cars, therefore you must prepay and pre-register on their website. I do believe they try for 6 runs at every event. Please register for these events here: http://www.peachtreebmwcca.org/ptAX_index.asp Registration opens for the school on March 13th for members and March 20th for non-members. Regstiration opens for the autox event on March 20th for members and March 27th for non-members. Please keep in mind that you do not have to own a BMW to participate in either of these events; infact you do not have to own a BMW to become a BMW CCA member.
My wife and I attended the school a couple of years ago. They put on a good school. It was fun beating two of the instructors on Sunday too.
to all aspiring autocross champions... these schools are INCREDIBLY informative... the best mod to cut times is a better driver
Are you talking about the SCCA event last weekend? Very few people showed up , but i was there for afternoon session as were most people. Trey was there in the morning.
Yeah, the event from last weekend in Greer (BMW Plant). I was hoping to see a whole bunch of Subarus. There was only about 6 of us overall.
There was an Atlanta Region event this past weekend. There were about 8 subarus there. I do believe most local people went to the atlanta region one, since it's about a 2 hour drive to the BMW plant. I'll be up the next time there is one and there is nothing going on in atlanta autox wise.
I was there at today's event. It went pretty well and they did 6 runs so there was lots of seat time. Weather was perfect.
Crap out $40, no auto-x and still getting over this stupid stomach flu! Hope everyone had fun. Guess I'll try my new helmet another day...
Hey, I'm assuming you had the blue wrx, right? Sorry I didn't get a chance to really say hello, I had been waiting for a ride in Brian and Mere's car for too long. I'm the guy in the black STi. You had some pretty nice times. Did you break the minute mark? I didn't get to see all of your times. Either way, nice driving. I'll see you at the next one. Randy
Yes that was me in the blue wrx. Yes I broke the minute mark. I think the best i got was 59.2 something.
