well its out of the car atm and the needle isnt at 0 .. its at 1 something. its a autometer mach gauge.. any ideas?
My stock one reads a tad off when it's off too, its the dealer installed gauge. maybe a way to adjust 0 point?
I found some mention to this problem with a different brand gauge and someone said to send it back since it's not adjustable... Not possitive if thats the case with all of them...
hm i just had a intresting thought.. any idea how thease gauges work? i mean are they calibrated so it taks the same force to go from 5-10 as 15-20? i dobut it.. so even ebing at 2, 5 psi would be 5 psi.. beacuse the force required to get it to 5 doenst change...? i mean no matter waht 17.5 psi only has the force of 17.5 psi
True. Even if it is reading true atmospheric pressure, its rarely dead on at 14.7psi, thats at standard temperature/pressure and sea level altitude. Put it on the car it's probably fine, Autometers are cheap gauges. You can datalog the car to see that your gauge is syncing up with what the ECU is seeing.
